MISSION STATEMENT

Here at Beetlebrick Press we believe play and experimentation lie at the heart of all creative endeavour. To that end, we seek writers whose work plays with form, plays with urban landscape, plays its way out of the mind’s griefs and traumas.

Beetlebrick Press publishes works in translation from the heart of Leigh, in Wigan, Greater Manchester. As a press, we are keen to promote writers from industrial backgrounds, working-class backgrounds, those coming at literature from outside the establishment, or later in life, via different biographies and career paths.

We are keen to engage with our local community and provide a transparent and accessible space for play, connection, and creativity. We support emerging and local artists and translators. We believe in collaboration, psychogeography, and the transformative power of the imagination.
